The olympics kicked off in Rio this weekend. If you don’t know that, where the hell do you live? Of course it fills our television stations and news, and in todays world our social media. It will be filled with a bunch of different things, from the stupid opening ceremonies, like really who is watching that crap on TV, to some awesome sports, some horrifying failures/injuries and finally some champions. At least that is the majority of it. But in Canada we will be inundated with a whole other experience. That of the celebration of a P.B. from our athletes and limited celebration of our champions.
NASCAR What Makes it Great and The Buescher Win
StandardAlright confession time, I am a NASCAR fan, a redneck sport and I love it. I enjoy sitting at home on a Sunday afternoon and watching cars go around in circles. I have done it less since I met my wife, but have gotten into it this season. Her own fault, she has been travelling for work and leaving Sunday mornings which means I watch NASCAR when I get back from the airport, and now she has to watch NASCAR when she is home on Sundays.
Pokemon Go Rant
StandardAlright, this is my neglected blog, mainly because I have been trying to be a less cranky asshole of late. I truly have been working on being a nicer guy, mostly unsuccessfully but reading your own asshole words was an easy place to improve. In fact I have branched out into complaining about movies and then writing some other crap for my brain to play with. Nothing really for this blog. But I have to put on my cranky bastard hat and take a run at Pokemon Go!
Memories of My Grandpa. The Words of a Spoiled Grandson
StandardI have mostly abandoned this blog of late. With Macs around the corner maybe I will add some posts, but today lead me back here to treat it like a diary. This morning my phone rang, when I saw the name at 6 AM, I knew what words I would hear on the call.

Road Trip 2015 – Part 4 – New Orleans
StandardOn to the next stop and we hit the famous New Orleans. Feel like this will be a short blog. New Orleans is definitely a bucket list stop. Mom you probably don’t want to read this one, it will break your heart.
Road Trip 2015 – Part 3 – Spaceships and Baseball Bats

Part 2 – 2015 Road Trip – Fast Cars and JFK
StandardStill running behind on the blogs but will try to add some more. From Amarillo we woke up on Friday morning with the goal to make it to Houston, Texas and our home for a couple of days. We figured we better stop by Calgary’s sister city, Dallas, prior to finishing the journey to Southern Texas. So at just after 8AM we headed out.
Road Trip 2015 Part 1 – Driving Days Calgary to Amarillo
StandardSo the big road trip of 2015 is off and running. It has been hard to get to wifi in the first little bit and when I have gotten to it, it has not functioned long enough for me to complete the blog for your reading pleasure. Sorry for the late blog, will try to get caught up here quickly. This part will focus on the driving from Calgary to Houston.
